ACL Fest!!

Another long sun and beer soaked weekend in Zilker Park for the 2011 ACL Music Festival. Highlights include SPOON, Sonic Youth, The Strokes, The National , TV Torso, Trombone Shorty, and The Sword. Colby and Kris came down from Seattle and while Colby and I were rocking out Mindy and Kris had a leisurely weekend of pedicures, wine tasting, movies, and talking. Who do you think had a better weekend? It was great to see them and now its back to reality.

ROCK'N'ROLL

Just got done recording some more tracks at Public HiFi last week. On to mastering this week and then to the Interwebs for your listening enjoyment. I'll post all the details soon.

This weekend ACL Festival with my brother. Should be great weather and some good bands. TV Torso, Chief, SPOON, South Youth, The Strokes, Broken Bells, The National. Most excited to see Sonic Youth Saturday night at an after-festival show. Almost all the bands play additional shows at clubs downtown for those who want a non-festival experience. So i'll get to see them twice. Who knows maybe yours truly will be gracing the stage at ACL 2011.

Opening Day

Well its that time of year again when the doves are flying. The opening of hunting season starts with Doves which is a nice way to get back in the groove. I managed to knock down 10 the first day and will be back out this afternoon. Conditions today are much better with cloudy skies and cooler temps. It's bag limit time!
